Dr. Williams joined the LSU Block and Bridle in 1981 and was a member for two years. She was a Dairy Production Science major during her undergraduate degree. She is now a Professor in the School of Animal Sciences at LSU.

Why did you join Block and Bridle?

"To get involved in a service organization that promotes animal agriculture. And a lot of my friends were in Block and Bridle. Dairy science students joined the Dairy Science club, which I did. But I wanted to get more involved with the other livestock species."

What is your favorite Block and Bridle memory?

"Little I in spring of 1982. I was showing a sheep. It got away from me in the arena while we were being judged. It took 3 people and the judge to help me catch my ewe in the Parker Coliseum."

Dr. Williams became the LSU Block and Bridle advisor in 2013 and loves getting to know her students on a more personal basis outside of the classroom
